g. Beginning on or about October 4, 2019, MELZER and the Unit were stationed at a U.S. military facility (“U.S. Military Installation-1”) in the vicinity of Vicenza, Italy.

During an interview on or about May 30, 2020, MELZER confessed to his role in plotting the attack, which was to be carried out by members of a terrorist organization, admitted that he intended for the planned attack to result in the deaths of as many of his fellow service members as possible, and declared himself to be a traitor against the United States whose conduct was tantamount to treason.

Il luogo del possibile attacco? In Turchia:

a. On or about May 23, 2020, MELZER, a service member with the U.S. Army, used an encrypted messaging application (the “Messaging Application”) to solicit assistance for a mass casualty attack on his U.S. Army unit (the “Unit”) once it deployed to Turkey.

Melzer allegedly provided this potentially deadly information intending that it be conveyed to jihadist terrorists.  As alleged, Melzer was motivated by racism and hatred as he attempted to carry out this ultimate act of betrayal.  Thanks to the efforts of the agents and detectives of the JTTF, our partners in the Departments of Defense and State, and the career prosecutors of this office, a hate-fueled terrorist attack against American soldiers has been thwarted.

As alleged, Ethan Melzer sought to facilitate a deadly mass attack on his fellow service members by disclosing sensitive information to multiple extremists, including al-Qa’ida.

Yet, in that – this – other world, the scent of having understood remains, which is why I feel I now quite understand why, in the past, certain individuals disliked – even hated – me, given my decades of extremism: my advocacy of racism, fascism, holocaust denial, and National-Socialism, followed (after my conversion to Islam) by my support of bin Laden, the Taliban, and advocacy of ‘suicide attacks’.

I also understand why – given my subversive agenda and my amoral willingness to use any tactic, from Occult honeytraps to terrorism, to undermine the society of the time as prelude to revolution – certain people have saught to discredit me by distributing and publishing certain allegations.

O9A also has expressed support for the views of Usama bin Laden, the former emir, or leader, of al Qaeda, the jihadist terrorist group that, among other things, is responsible for the bombing of the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in or about 1998, and the bombing of the U.S. Navy vessel the U.S.S. Cole in or about 2000, and the attack against the United States on or about September 11, 2001.
